The Taunton Stop Line
This walk follows several sections of the WWII Taunton Stop Line from Pawlett at the mouth of the River Parrett, along the Taunton-Bridgwater Canal and the route of the Taunton-Chard railway line, examining the surviving evidence for a range of defences including pillboxes, anti tank obstacles and bridge demolition chambers. The day includes a few short breaks for drinks and lunch etc along the way.
Price: Individual £40, Group £200. Pick up point to be arranged in the Taunton area.

Additional info
Most of the walks will be along metalled footpaths along the canal and old railway line. Comfortable footwear recommended.
Where are we walking?
There are 3 walks of about 1 hour in length beginning at Pawlett and along the River Parrett, followed by a walk from Maunsell to Charlston along the Tauntion-Bridgwater Canal and finally from Donyatt to Chard Reservoir along the old Taunton-Chard railway line.
